What We're Looking For

We are looking for a Social Media Lead who loves good stories.

Your Mission - tell stories so good other people want to share

We’re looking for a content lead who understands which stories are relevant within different communities. You understand a good story is one people want to tell again and again.

You know what happens in the streets and you know what happens in social.

You see a new platform feature in the morning—and you’ve tested it by lunch. You know how to tweek stories to make them more impactful.

Your Responsibilities

Content Strategy & Creative Concepting

  • Develop and execute community-first content strategies that align with client goals and data insights.

  • Ideate campaigns and concepts rooted in culture and originality.

  • Develop community mappings based on social listening and community management.

  • Lead and develop multi-platform social media strategies.

  • Drive the creative vision, ensuring brand relevance and audience engagement.

Campaign Planning & Coordination

  • Lead content planning across channels and formats.

  • Build and manage editorial calendars and campaign rollouts.

  • Collaborate with strategists, paid media specialists, designers, and copywriters.

  • Understand and apply KPIs to drive impact.

Creative Leadership & Team Management

  • Stay ahead of platform trends (TikTok, Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube, Discord, Twitch, Pinterest).

  • Manage, mentor and inspire a team of young, ambitious content & social creatives.

  • Set the standard for quality and innovation across all deliverables.

  • Actively looking for new tools, trends & applications to leverage your social media strategy.

  • Provide clear, inspiring briefings and constructive feedback.

  • Build a high-performing, energized team culture.

  • Working closely with our Community Managers to detect trends and content opportunities and to nurture positive relationships with our communities.

  • Become the face of all things Social at OONA/BAAS through workshops for clients, prospects and stakeholders.

Client Collaboration

  • Act as a strategic partner and creative sounding board for clients.

  • Present concepts, reports, and performance insights with clarity and confidence.

  • Translate client feedback into stronger, sharper creative.

Performance & Reporting

  • Interpreting, understanding and acting upon performance metrics to optimize execution.

  • Report on campaign success metrics and align on data analytics from the Influencer Marketing and Paid Performance team.

  • Conducting regular competitor research & reporting on best practices.

What You Bring

  • Creative thinking: you have a portfolio that shows sharp thinking, strong execution, and community-first creativity. You have a proven ability to turn creative briefs into performing social concepts.

  • Storytelling passion: you have a passion for the real world, storytelling, short-form video, and internet culture. You have a curiosity for how AI and new tools can enhance creative storytelling.

  • Platform engagement: you actively engage with TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and emerging formats.

  • Strategic and data-driven mindset: you know how to tweak a story to drive more impact.

  • Analytical skills: you have the ability to analyze campaigns, identify patterns and generate insights that can drive improved strategies.

  • Experience: you have a minimum leadership experience of five years working in a social or creative agency environment managing and nurturing creative teams.

  • Tools: you’re fluent in tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Brandwatch, Kontentino, Notion, Minter.io, Trello, Google Workspace, CreatorIQ, Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, and ChatGPT, platforms that help you plan, publish, analyze, and optimize social content and campaigns.  

  • Language: you are fluent in Dutch and English and communicate clearly with both clients and internal teams.

  • Are obsessed with storytelling formats—whether it’s a 15-second TikTok or a 60-slide LinkedIn carousel.

  • Are hands-on with editing tools (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, in-app editors).

  • Know how to spot what’s next on the internet before it hits the mainstream.
